The City of Centerville Municipal Code (Section 660.05) requires property owners to clear snow and ice accumulations from sidewalk “within a reasonable time, which will ordinarily not exceed 12 hours”.
Property owners in the City’s downtown district and where children walk to and from school are asked to make special efforts to clear sidewalk as soon as practical. City crews remove snow from sidewalks along City owned properties and at gazebo bus stops locations.
Residents requiring special assistance with snow removal may call the City at 433-7151, for a list of volunteers willing to help with snow removal is available. Residents are responsible to engage the necessary assistance to keep their sidewalks clear.
