2010 Summer Concert Series Continues Through September 12 Print E-mail

arts_summer_concert2.jpgThe 2010 Summer Concert Series, presented by the Centerville Arts Commission continues through September 12 at the Stubbs Park Amphitheater, 255 W. Spring Valley Road. All concerts are free and begin at 7:00 p.m.. Concessions are provided by Centerville Catering. Bring your blanket or chairs, the amphitheater offers lawn seating only.         Click here for the flyer.

June 13 Sound Body Jazz Orchestra performs an eclectic combination of classic big band swing with contemporary jazz and fusion.
June 16 (Wednesday) Wessell “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Jazz Alto Saxophonist Extraordinaire performs with the Dayton Jazz Orchestra in partnership with the 2010 Miami Valley Jazz Summer Camp.
June 20 Rhythm In Shoes, a varied repertoire of music and dance rooted in traditional forms of American music and dance.
June 27 Michael Locke & The Repeat Offenders, an electric blues trio, winner of the Stubbs Park 2009 Blues Fest.
July 3 (Saturday) Thaddeus Rex, Read Like A Rock Star, performs a unique brand of high octane music and contagious enthusiasm to get kids excited about reading along the way!
July 4 Kick off the holiday with our annual Americana Concert, a patriotic tribute, courtesy of the Centerville Community Band and Chorus.
July 11 Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers present traditional Bluegrass music and original arrangements of familiar song favorites.
July 18 Terry Lee Goffee presents a Johnny Cash Tribute that will leave you spellbound.
July 25 Souled Out Band from Indianapolis is recognized as one of the best dance, party, & variety bands in the Midwest.
August 1 The Menus - Ohio’s most notorious rock-n-roll band performs a high energy and visually staggering show.
August 3(Tuesday) Mystery Night Out sponsored by the Centerville Police Department features a concert by The Rejects, performing their own brand of participatory rock-n-roll hits.
August 7 (Saturday) Centerville Community Band plays every type of music from jazz to patriotic tunes to Broadway.
August 8 Kim Kelly Orchestra features big band to contemporary with its 17-piece ensemble.
August 15 Systems Go is a popular music combo band comprised of musicians from the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight, playing a blend of top-notch, high-energy tunes.
August 22 Robin Lacy & DeZydeco play Cajun-styled rock-n-roll along with New Orleans rhythm and blues and Creole funk, all called Gumbo Music.
August 29 Lone Raven performs an eclectic blend of Celtic and acoustic music that is hauntingly beautiful.
September 4 (Saturday) Mr. Musicmaker and Friends is a show designed for the whole family to enjoy.  This preschool and day camp favorite is courtesy of Wasson Music Center.
September 5 Legend the Band is a live dance band specializing in 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s era rock & roll music that energizes the crowd.
September 12 (4-7 p.m.) Guitar Fest provides a myriad of guitar styles sponsored by the Dayton Classical Guitar Society.
