Centerville Arts Commission Gallery features photographers Robert and Ulrike Blankenship
Robert and Ulrike Blankenship’s photography will be on display at the Centerville Police Headquarters until the beginning of August. The Police Headquarters are located at 155 W. Spring Valley Road in Centerville. The Art Gallery is staffed 24-hours per day and exhibits may be viewed anytime, day or night. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
From the time Robert was 6 years old he took pictures with his father’s Kodak Brownie 120 box camera. Robert has always had an interest in photography, however it was not until the late 1980’s when Robert began to explore photography as a serious hobby. Since that time he met his wife Ulrike who passionately loved photography too. The Blankenship’s specialize in landscapes, nature, animals, weddings, and table top photographs.
The Centerville Arts Commission will host a reception on Saturday, July 17th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Art Gallery at the Police Department to introduce the collection to the community. The Blankenship’s will be present to meet the public, and light refreshments will be served.
The Centerville Arts Commission was created by Centerville City Council to involve the citizens of the Centerville area in the visual and performing arts. For more information on the Arts Commission, contact the City of Centerville at (937) 433-7151 or visit our website.
